Recently, for social and emotional learning, Mrs. Llacuna's 4th grade class completed their gratitude jars and learned about how thankfulness and gratitude are important this time of year and all year long. Way to go, 4th graders!

In Ms. Canright's fifth grade class, one of the daily SEL activities is a student-led morning meeting. They start their day with a question and then pull sticks for some students to share out with the class. It is a great way to learn about each other as well as discovering connections to one another. It gives students the opportunity to share some positive thinking as well as let each other know how much they appreciate their classmates. Each day a different student runs the meeting. Alex ran the last one. Attached are screenshots of a few questions they answered last week.

Here is a way that Mrs. Frye's 6th graders make school a more positive place to be. It's called "What I like about you Wednesday!" Students choose a post it with a classmate's name on it. They write one thing they like about that particular person and give it to them at some point in the day. How cool!
