Leadership in action! 🌟 Today, our 5th graders practiced being role models by helping our TK students bring their artistic visions to life. At Mesa Grande, we know that every student has a unique strength—and today, those strengths were on full display! 🌈👩🎨

We are celebrating Autism Acceptance Week! 🌏 Let’s join together to celebrate the differences in how people think and see the world.
Autism is a spectrum, which means every individual is unique. While some individuals may need more support than others, many possess incredible focus and talents in areas like art, music, and technology. 🎨🎶💻
Celebrate neurodiversity with us and help make the world a more inclusive place! 🩵

Mesa families. As you probably know, this is my last year at Mesa Grande. These past eleven years have been wonderful, as I have built relationships with so many great staff members, students, and families. There have been so many great memories of carnivals, pies in the face, and parades. This amazing staff and I have tried to make sure that Mesa Grande has been welcoming, engaging, and fun. The Mesa Grande community will be left in great hands. Although it is sad for me to leave, I am also very excited to move on to my next school, Mesquite Trails.
To those of you at Mesquite Trails, I will do my best to ‘fill’ the giant shoes left by Mr. Sheffield. I am looking forward to continuing the great leadership that has been at that school. I am stocking up on my purple gear, and getting ready to SOAR. I can’t wait to continue to work hard and have fun with you at Mesquite Trails.

Did you hear about our Leprechaun Trap Night? Mesa families built traps and showed off their work last Friday. We loved seeing all of the creative traps! Thank you to all of those who participated and a huge congratulations to our winners!
We hope to see you at our next school event! Stay on the lookout for our April Newsletter to see all of the events happening next month at Mesa Grande.

Meet Edward. This guy led a group of students to gather enough horseshoes to "buy" treats from his teacher, for the entire class. Putting others above yourself is such an amazing thing to see. What a great young man!

Congratulations to our iExpo teams. This past Saturday, they did a wonderful job representing our school in all of their different categories, even receiving a trophy! Here are some of the activities in which they were involved.

Mesa families. Attendance is so important. When classes have eight days of perfect attendance, they get popsicles, like these classes got today. Please make sure your kids come to school.

At Mesa Grande, another of our values is committing to an academic focus. All of these students scored at or above grade level on the most recent iReady assessments. They were treated to chips and cheese. Boy, was this a hit!

At Mesa Grande, one of our values is to encourage positive character. Here is our Kindness Club, making a design with rocks on which students painted positive messages, in one of our front planters. Way to go, kiddos!
